Managing your profile and settings

Update your personal profile, notification preferences, display settings, and account information in Taskora.

Your Taskora profile controls how you appear to teammates and how the system communicates with you. This guide walks you through updating your personal details, changing your password, and adjusting workspace preferences.


Accessing your profile


To access your profile settings, select your avatar or initials in the bottom-left corner of the Taskora sidebar, then select Profile & Settings. This opens your personal settings page where you can manage all account-related preferences.


Updating your name and profile photo


In the Profile tab, you can update your display name by selecting the Name field and typing your preferred name. To add or change your profile photo, select the avatar image and select Upload Photo. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF. Your photo will be visible to all members of your workspace. Select Save Changes to apply your updates.


Changing your email address


To update the email address associated with your account, go to Profile & Settings and select the Email field. Enter your new email address and select Save. A confirmation email will be sent to your new address. You must select the verification link in that email before the change takes effect. Until confirmed, your old email remains active.


Changing your password


To change your password, navigate to Profile & Settings and select the Security tab. For detailed instructions, including how to reset a forgotten password, see How to reset your password.


Setting your time zone


Taskora uses your time zone to display due dates and schedule notifications correctly. To set your time zone, go to Profile & Settings and find the Time Zone dropdown in the Preferences tab. Select your local time zone from the list and select Save. This setting affects only your account and doesn't change how other team members see dates.


Managing notification preferences


You can customize which notifications you receive and how they're delivered. For complete details on email alerts, in-app notifications, due date reminders, and more, see Configuring notifications.


Deleting your account


If you need to leave a workspace, go to Profile & Settings and scroll to the bottom of the Profile tab. Select Leave Workspace to remove yourself from the current workspace. Note that only a workspace Admin can permanently delete the workspace itself. If you're the sole Admin and wish to close the workspace, contact support at [email protected] before taking action.
