Recurring tasks let you automatically regenerate a task on a set schedule β perfect for daily standups, weekly reports, monthly reviews, or any work that repeats regularly.
Creating a Recurring Task
Open an existing task or create a new one. In the task detail panel, select the Recurrence option (the circular arrow icon). A dialog will appear where you can configure the schedule.
Recurrence Options
Daily: The task repeats every day, or every N days (e.g., every 2 days). Weekly: Repeats on specific days of the week (e.g., every Monday and Wednesday). Monthly: Repeats on a specific date each month (e.g., the 1st of every month). Custom: Set any interval in days, weeks, or months.
Setting an End Date
By default, recurring tasks repeat indefinitely. To stop recurrence after a certain date, toggle on End date in the recurrence dialog and pick a date. You can also set the task to end after a specific number of occurrences.
How Recurrence Works
When a recurring task is marked as Done, Taskora automatically creates a new copy of the task for the next scheduled date. The new task inherits the title, description, assignee, and priority from the original. Due dates are updated based on the recurrence schedule.
Editing or Stopping a Recurring Task
To edit the recurrence schedule, open the task and select the recurrence icon again. You can modify the schedule or select Remove Recurrence to turn it into a one-time task. Changes apply to the current task and all future occurrences.
Viewing Recurring Tasks
Recurring tasks appear in your task list just like regular tasks. You can identify them by the circular arrow icon next to the task title. Filter your task view by Recurring to see only repeated tasks.
